Golden Bowerbird

Golden Bowerbird There are ten species in the bowerbird family in Australia, of which the Regent, the Satin are the best known, as they are mainly found in the highly populated areas in the eastern states of Victoria, NSW and Queensland. The Golden Bowerbird is less known, as it is restricted to the rainforests of northern Queensland. The males of most, but not all, of these birds build a bower to be used during courtship; hence their name.
