Having been a professional Photographer throughout the sixties I have graduated to other forms of art, working in timber and wrought iron.& About 30 yrs ago I started producing giclee prints to a museum quality archival standard for professional artists throughout New South Wales. At this time I returned to painting using various media, however I integrated my traditional artwork with computer art. I have found this process challenging yet thoroughly enjoyable. Having worked with other artists during this period and being involved with art since high school I find myself in a position where I am able to assist artists achieve their goals. I have developed a website, www.fargallery.com.au which I use to advertise not only my work but enables other artists to showcase their art. I have been honoured with an award as a finalist in the Lake Mac Art Leaders Award section. I have also lectured on the benefits of combining digital and traditional art. I have curated an exhibition with Lake Mac in Toronto Library with three other artists to help showcase their unique work. I participate in the Open Studio weekends, encouraging other artists to display their work in my home studio area. I have had work displayed in the Lake Mac Art Gallery to help promote Open Studio weekends. Above all I encourage and readily welcome like minded artists to produce mixed media work pieces.& On 11 March 2023 I was honoured again by winning the Arts Leader Award within the Lake Macquarie Region.& Of late I have been focusing on traditional Japanese painting, taking into account the composition using Fung Shui with traditional Japanese brushes and ink with the intention of promoting peace and harmony within the room where the paintings are hung. This experience has been very challenging but extremely satisfying.
